Natsu Dragneel is a FireDragon Slayer, a member of Fairy Tail, and the founder of Team Natsu. He is the main male protagonist of Fairy Tail.
Natsu is a lean, well-built young man of average height with a slightly tan skin tone, black eyes, and spiky rose-colored hair. Natsu has a scar on the right side of his neck which is visible in the few instances he doesn't wear his scarf. His guild member's stamp is colored red and is located at the top of his right arm, just below his shoulder.
Natsu’s outfit mainly consists of a black waistcoat with gold trimmings over his chest with no undershirt, white knee-length trousers, a thick black wristband on his left wrist, black open-toed sandals and his scarf that he always wears. It is detailed with white scales and was given to him by his adoptive father,Igneel. He has also been known to wear a rolled up comforter strapped across his back, though he rarely carries it in battle. In the year X791, Natsu’s attire slightly changes. He now wears a closed long-sleeved shirt with an open collar with his scarf around it and his right arm is exposed to show his Fairy Tail Guild stamp. Natsu retains the same lower clothing and now wears his wristband on his right wrist.
Natsu continuously tries to prove his strength to others. He has challenged Erza , Laxus, Mirajane Strauss, and even Gildarts, all of the current Fairy Tail S-Class Mages, to fight him in the past and has been beaten every single time. Despite his losses, Natsu holds no grudge against them as he considers everyone in the guild as his family, even as far as defending Laxus after his attempt at making the guild members battle with each other. Due to his reckless nature, Natsu’s fights usually ends with widespread destruction. Natsu’s continuous desire to fight causes him to develop great wit in battle, quickly identifying his opponent’s weakness and forms strategies to block his enemies’ plans. There are times that he would defeat his enemies with just wits alone, such as his fight with Toby at Galuna Island. Natsu is also stubborn as he hardly ever admits his defeats.
Techniques
- Fire Dragon's Roar (火竜の咆哮 Karyū no Hōkō): Natsu is capable of breathing flames over large distances in order to attack enemies.
- Fire Dragon's Iron Fist (火竜の鉄拳 Karyū no Tekken): Enveloping his fist in fire, Natsu increases his punch's destructive power.
- Fire Dragon's Wings (火竜の翼撃 Karyū no Yokugeki): Natsu attacks by striking enemies with his arms covered in flames.
- Fire Dragon's Claws (火竜の鉤爪 Karyū no Gakizume): Natsu enhances his kick's destructive power with fire.
- Fire Dragon's Sword-edge (火竜の剣角 Karyū no Kenkaku): Natsu attacks his enemy by charging at them head-on, with his entire body covered in flames.
- Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame (火竜の煌炎 Karyū no Kōen): A simultaneous attack with Natsu creating fireballs on both fists and striking the enemy.
- Fire Dragon's Blazing Elbow (火竜の炎肘 Karyū no Enchū): Natsu ignites his elbow, which creates propulsion to augment the force of his punch.
- Crimson Fire Dragon Fist (紅蓮火竜拳 Guren Karyūken): Natsu launches a flurry of punches at his opponent, creating an explosion with each connecting hit.
- Fire Dragon's Destructive Fang (火竜の砕牙 Karyū no Saiga): An attack where Natsu attempts to pierce and slash the enemy with a blazing hand.
- Dragon Slayer Secret Arts (滅竜奥義 Metsuryū ōgi)
- Crimson Exploding Blade(紅蓮爆炎刃 Guren Bakuenjin): Natsu launches a series of attacks, ending with a wave of flame blades, which explode upon contact with the enemy.
- "Offense-Type" Crimson Phoenix Sword (「不知火型」紅蓮鳳凰劍 "Shiranuigata" Guren Hōōken): A powerful punching attack which Natsu was only seen using while Dragon Force was invoked. "不知火型" is an offensive stance taken in Sumo-wrestling, but can also be read as "Sea of Flames-Type".
